Ravenhammer Comics, the creators of Lucius Hammer and Harlem Shadow, is keeping the momentum going with Blackwing and Troublemaker. Here’s what they have to say about this polished look at one of their latest creations:

Blackwing and Troublemaker is is indeed a homage to Batman and Robin and asks the question “what would have a sixties blaxploitation Batman series been like in the hands of a dude like Gordon Parks Jr or Melvin Van Peeples Sr.?”

These characters, although they are a variation of Batman mythos, also have their own mystique and charm which you will soon get to experience for yourself this summer when we release the one shot in August.

Blackwing and Troublemaker meet my main character Lucius Hammer during the civil rights struggle in a program for black superheroes called The American Guardians.

Pick up Lucius Hammer Issue 1 and 2 this summer to catch up with the storyline. Harlem Shadow Issue 1 and 2 also explains the birth of the black superhero. And the Blackwing and Troublemaker One Shot will be available in August.

The second issue of Lucius Hammer and Harlem Shadow will be going to press by the end of June.

If this newest presentation is anything like Lucius Hammer #1 then I, for one, am looking forward to it. As always you can keep up with RavenHammer comics on their official site or on their Facebook page.
